​Manual Handling

All of our Manual Handling qualifications are based on National Occupational Standards (NOS) related to the manual handling of objects and recommended good practice by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and these qualifications are regulated and certificated for 3 years by the office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) in England and Wales.​

Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling (QCF)

This qualification is designed to cover the basic principles of manual handling and is suitable for all employees to raise their awareness of the risks of unsafe manual handling practices and for people who might have to carry out manual handling as part of their job, e.g. handling deliveries, parcels and boxes.

 

With subjects covered in just a few hours, this course is an ideal way to reduce the risk of workplace manual handling injuries, whilst minimising disruption to your organisation’s day to day activities!

Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (QCF)

This qualification is ideal for those working in a variety of environments including warehouses and shops, designed to cover the basic principles of manual handling.

 

Learners will learn the legal requirements and key principles of manual handling including the process of completing risk assessments to reduce the risk of harm. They will also have the opportunity to practice a wide range of manual handling techniques including moving objects on their own, using equipment and as part of a team, ensuring that they leave the course confident and proficient in moving and handling.
